It is in the dog’s best interest to start grooming and working with a professional groomer as soon as possible regardless of coat length and style. Starting early helps the dog become more accustomed to and relaxed during the grooming process. Starting grooming early or at any age will help the dog build a relationship with a groomer that makes grooming an enjoyable experience for the dog.
